Das Bildungshaus St. Jodern bietet Bikern eine optimale Infrastruktur: Das Haus verfügt über 37 Einzel- /Doppelzimmer sowie 4 Mehrbettzimmer, welche sich bestens für einen Bikeausflug mit Freunden, einer Gruppe oder als Alleinreisender eignen.
Die abschliessbare Garage ist gross genug, um ca. 30 Fahrräder einzustellen. A service station is also installed so that minor repairs can be carried out on the bike. A washing station is available for cleaning bicycles.

On request, you can be provided with a packed lunch for the road, a hearty breakfast or a 3-course evening meal.

Bike tours in the surrounding area

Valais is a huge playground in the mountains, a true paradise for mountain bike enthusiasts. Well-signposted routes, magnificent Alpine passes with breathtaking views and spectacular trails ensure the perfect biking experience.

Whether on the mountain summit or in the valley, everyone gets their money’s worth here. The trails are varied, so that hobby riders, professionals, mountain bikers and downhillers alike can put their talent to the test. Public transport and more than a hundred mountain railroads ensure that bikers have no limits when planning their tours in Valais.

By hosting the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, Valais will become the capital of mountain biking from August 30 to September 14, 2025. The individual disciplines will be held in different destinations.

Visperterminen

Visperterminen, known as the Heidi village, offers mountain bike enthusiasts a wide range of varied routes in the midst of an impressive mountain landscape.

Whether leisurely after-work tours or challenging trails – every biker will find the right route here.

Unterbäch

Unterbäch is the ideal starting point for numerous bike tours in the Augstbord region. Whether it’s an enjoyable loop or a challenging day tour, everyone will find the right mountain bike route here.

If you want to start your bike day with a head start, take the cable car to Unterbäch and/or the chairlift to Brandalp.

Eischoll

Numerous paths and roads around Eischoll invite you to take a tour. In addition to the popular Lufu and Lunggi downhill trails that lead from Eischoll into the valley, there are other bike trails that tempt you to take a detour into the neighboring villages.

Tip: For bikers there is a day ticket for the Raron-Eischoll cable car for CHF 40.00.

Rosswald

The Rosswald offers several bike trails with varied passages for beginners and families, but also challenging descents for advanced riders.

Rosswald is situated on a mountain ridge and is famous for its panoramic views.

Lauchernalp

Welcome to the world of biking, where freedom on two wheels awaits. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or just starting out in the fascinating world of mountain biking, in the Lötschental you will find everything a biker’s heart desires.

Leukerbad (Torrent & Gemmi)

The Pfyn-Finges biking region lies in the heart of Valais and, with its sun-drenched mountains, is predestined for mountain biking – almost all year round.

The trail network was given a complete trail lift in summer 2021. In combination with the soothing thermal baths and the impressive mountain scenery, Leukerbad combines sport and relaxation.

Saas-Fee / Saas-Almagell

The Saas Valley is a real insider tip on the mountain bike scene. On around 80 kilometers everyone will find their favorite route, whether easy or challenging trails.

The various trails offer ever-changing views of the imposing four-thousand-meter peaks of the Saas Valley.
