The Advent and Christmas season in Visp will be festive and varied:
With VispChristmas 2025 visitors can expect special events with Christmas spirit, encounters and impressive experiences. The Sunday sale is part of a joint Advent presence in the center of Visp – with the aim of making the pre-Christmas season tangible and creating space for encounters. An overview of the various Christmas activities and attractions can be found below.

On December 14, 2025, the Visp Trade and Tourism Association invites you to a special Christmas event that will bring the magic of the festive season to Visp. With a varied entertainment program, magical moments and stress-free Christmas shopping, this Sunday will be a highlight of the Advent season.
The Christmas Sunday sale offers a colorful selection for visitors of all ages.
Once again, impressive and artistic ice sculptures are created directly on site, which amaze young and old alike. Kurt Wüst will provide magical photo opportunities. You’ll be surprised what the artist will carve this year!
A wide range of children’s entertainment guarantees creative and Christmassy experiences. The youngest visitors can get creative in the Centerpark, take a leisurely spin on the children’s carousel or help out at the JuBla Visp stand in the Elf Factory. In addition, a winter craft activity by studio VIELFALT, storytelling sessions by Ida Häfliger and the fascinating Imboden AG Christmas truck will make children’s eyes light up.
Live music can also be heard in unusual places. Listen to the sounds of the children’s and youth choir [stimm riich] and the brass band performances of the VISPE Visp youth music, which fills the streets with Christmas carols, or enjoy musical performances by the singer-songwriter duo “flexiMUSIC” (Tanja Zimmermann & David Friedli) in stores and restaurants. The Christmas intermezzos create a special atmosphere.
The Kastanienselve Eyholz will once again be roasting “heissi Chestine” this year, contributing to a shopping experience in a festive atmosphere alongside the gastronomic offerings of the Visp innkeepers.
The day will be rounded off with the winter concert of the MG VISPE Visp at 17:00 in the Theater La Poste Visp.

Further Christmas activities at Platz Visp
On Fridays during Advent, the Pürumärt in Visp becomes an atmospheric meeting place. Between 16:00 and 19:00, musical performances, fine aromas and Christmas activities invite you to linger. Children can decorate gingerbread, listen to stories or roast a sausage by the open fire.
The Pürumärt Advent is part of VispWeihnacht 2025 and brings festive warmth and encounters to the old town.
On the first weekend of Advent, the Kaufplatz in Visp is transformed into an atmospheric market and meeting zone. At the “Wiehnächtsmärt mit Härz”, you can expect a wide range of offers: Christmas stalls, mulled wine, polenta, other things – and above all warmth and community. The entire event is non-commercial: the net proceeds go to regional organizations for the disabled.
The Bildungshaus St. Jodern offers a varied program for young and old during the Advent season. From creative courses and crafting Schwarzenberg nativity figures to the festive gingerbread baking event for children and the traditional nativity scene exhibition – the offers invite you to pause for a moment, experience community and get in the mood for the Christmas season.
In December, the Centerpark offers various winter activities for young and old. A special highlight is the St. Nicholas photo on December 6. Children can meet Santa Claus in person, take a souvenir photo and receive little surprises. Festive decorations all around also create a warm, Christmassy atmosphere.
This year, the Insider Pub in Visp is bringing the Christmas spirit to the town. In front of the pub is a festively decorated little house where mulled wine is served. The scent of spices and the warm wine create a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. If you want to enjoy the evening longer, you can treat yourself to a delicious fondue in the fondue bar and end the day in a relaxed atmosphere.
On 5. & December 6, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Drei Eichen winery will open its doors and offer the opportunity to taste and buy wines and liqueurs. You are sure to find the perfect gift in the wide range of gift packs.
